Hemianopia- Symptom, Causes, Treatment of Hemianopia
Hemianopia is the loss of half of the
ocular
field in both eyes. The
identical
or opposite sides of the visual fields can be
involved. The situation is induced by
impermanent
or permanent agitation of the optic nerve fibres, or
the part of the brain where vision is
comprehend.
Impermanent hemianopia can
appear
in migraine or in brief disturbances of the blood supply to part of the brain.
Permanent hemianopia can
produce
from stroke; injury to the back of the brain or optic nerve pathways by hurt, infection or tumour; or force on the optic nerve by pituitary tumours.
