Hernia- Symptom, Causes, Treatment of Hernia
Hernia is the protuberance of part or all of an organ or tissue through a delicacy or opening in the muscle or connective tissue which
usually
keeps it in place. Abdominal hernias are the most
frequent
and are usually described according to where they
develop. For
instance, the protuberance of part of the intestine through the abdominal wall may
produce
in hernia around the navel (umbilical hernia) or in the
construct
unguinal or femoral hernial.
Causes of Hernia
Abdominal hernias in infants and children are usually
ascribable
to congenital weakness in parts of the abdominal wall. In adults the weakness may be induced by damage (for
instance
surgical incision),
or from hurt tei. or stretching of, abdominal muscles ascribable to lifting heavy objects or
immoderate
pressure within the abdomen (as in chronic cough, obesity, and
extending
in chronic constipation).
Symptoms and Complication of Hernia
The only symptom may be a bulge at the
place
of the hernia, that usually go away on lying down, after the bulge may be
exhibit
all the time and normally aches. A strangulated hernia
appears
when herniated bowel
turns
twisted and its blood supply is
decreased
or
cut off, causing
emergent
severe pain.
Imperative
treatment is required to prevent GANGRENE of the
involved
section of the bowel.
Treament of Hernia
Small hernias which can be pushed back
without difficulty and cause no pain may require only a supportive truss, larger hernias are
dealt
by surgical
repair of the weakness in the abdominal wall.
