Heartburn- Symptom, Causes, Treatment of Heartburn
Heartburn is the burning feeling close to
the lower end of the breastbone,
frequently
attended
by an acid taste in the mouth (waterbrash).
Heartburn is
experienced
when several of the acid contents of the stomach pass back
up into the
decrease
end of the oesophagus (gullet). Many people
receive
an attack of heartburn once in a while,
generally
after an uncommonly big or rich meal,
particularly
with alcohol. It may be brought on by bending forward or burping
presently
after eating, and looks to
appear
more
frequently
when people are anxious or upset.
The
infrequent
attack may be
improved
by antacids. If attacks follow most
common
meals,
advise
your doctor. A delicacy of the sphincter (muscular valve) between the oesophagus and the stornach may be inducing the reflux, a situation which should be treated to prevent the lining of the oesophagus from
turning
ulcerated and scarred.
